The African National Congress (ANC) gained a seat following yesterday’s municipal ward by-elections contested in Limpopo province.
The new councillor for the ANC is Boetie Maname in Ward 9 in Bela Bela Municipality – LIM366 (Limpopo). The party won the seat from the Democratic Alliance (DA) with 48.16% of the votes cast compared to 49.09% that the DA received in the 2016 Municipal Elections. Voter turnout yesterday was 43.01%.
