During the by-elections contested yesterday in the Eastern Cape, the Democratic Alliance (DA) retained the seat they won during the 2016 Municipal Elections.
The new councillor’s details are:
• Tracy Leigh Weise in Ward 1 in the Nelson Mandela Municipality – NMA. The party retained the seat it won in the 2016 Municipal Elections with an increased margin of 92.09% of the votes cast compared to 85.70% in the 2016 Municipal Elections. Voter turnout yesterday was 36.77%.
