Wards to be contested in the municipal by-elections of 4 February 2015

Municipal ward by-elections will take place in the Eastern Cape, Free State and the Western Cape on Wednesday, 4 February 2015.

A total of 17 voting districts will be contested in 4 wards.

Special voting at voting stations as well as home visits will take place on 3 February 2015 between 08h00 and 17h00. Voters interested in casting a special vote, can apply for a special vote at their local IEC office during office hours between 19 and 23 January 2015. 

Eastern Cape:
•  Ward 1 in the Amahlathi [Stutterheim] Municipality – EC124 with 3 012 registered voters became vacant as a result of the death of the councillor. Voting will take place at the following stations:
