Two municipal ward by-elections are scheduled to take place in the KwaZulu-Natal on Wednesday 29 March 2017 in Ward 32 in KZN225 – Msunduzi and in Ward 71 in KZN262 – uPhongolo.
The following are the details of the wards to be contested:
Ward 32 in KZN225 – Msunduzi with 9 097 registered voters which became vacant as a result of the resignation of the councillor. Registration and voting will take place at the following stations:

Special voting at voting stations as well as home visits will take place on 28 March 2017 between 08h00 and 17h00. Voters wishing to apply to cast a special vote must apply at their local IEC office during office hours between 13 and 17 March 2017.
