Together with the Department of Basic Education we're teaching electoral democracy to young South Africans in public schools nationwide from 24 to 28 April. Research shows that voting at an early age often results in those voters becoming regular participants in electoral democracy, so encouraging first-time voters is critical for the long-term sustainability of our democracy.
In terms of National Treasury prescripts, as from 1 April 2017 the Electoral Commission will only be allowed to do business with suppliers registered on the Central Supplier Database (CSD). If you are not yet registered on the CSD, please self-register at www.csd.gov.za as soon as possible.
