The Electoral Commission announces countrywide Online Voter Registration Campaign, marking a key milestone in preparations for the upcoming 2026 local government elections and expanding access to voter registration for millions of South Africans.

Thursday, 05 February 2026

The Electoral Commission will this weekend, Saturday, 07 February 2026 and Sunday, 08 February 2026 hold voter registration in the Western Cape ahead of the municipal by-elections scheduled to take place on Wednesday 25 March 2026.
