The Electoral Commission is pleased to report that voting is progressing well in the by-elections taking place in the Gauteng and Western Cape Provinces today.

The Electoral Commission will this weekend, Saturday, 31 January 2026 and Sunday, 01 February 2026 hold voter registration in the Eastern Cape and KwaZulu-Natal ahead of the municipal by-elections scheduled to take place on Wednesday, 18 March 2026.
