In the by-elections held on Wednesday, 25 February 2026, the Democratic Alliance (DA) and the African National Congress (ANC) retained their seats in Gauteng Limpopo respectively while the Inkatha Freedom Party (IFP) won a seat in KwaZulu-Natal.

Tuesday, 24 February 2026

Seventeen candidates from 12 political parties and one independent candidate will contest by-elections set to take place in Gauteng, KwaZulu-Natal and Limpopo on 25 February 2026.
