A municipal ward by-election
will take place in the Limpopo Province on Wednesday, 13 November 2024.
The by-election will be contested by three (3) political party candidates from
3 political parties.
Ward 39 in the Polokwane
Municipality – LIM354, will be
contested by the following candidates:
1. Ramatsobane Francina
Taueatsoala of the African National Congress (ANC)
2. Rita Esme James of the
Democratic Alliance (DA)
3. Rich Gezani Hlungwani of
the Truth and Solidarity Movement (TRUTH).
The ward was previously represented by the DA and
became vacant as a result of the councillor’s resignation. The voter turnout
for this ward in the 2021 Municipal Elections was 37,33%.
