In the by-election held in the Eastern
Cape province on Wednesday, 06 August 2025, the African National Congress (ANC)
retained a seat it won in the 2021 Local Government Elections.

- Nomthandazo
Nonkoliso Dyantyi, in ward 023 in the Nelson Mandela Bay Local Municipality, NMA, Eastern Cape. The party retained the
seat it won in the 2021 Municipal Elections, with 63.60% of the total votes
cast, compared to 76.33% during the 2021 Municipal Elections. Voter turnout was
29.23%.
