The Umkhonto Wesizwe (MK) won a seat
in the by-election held on 12 March 2025 in KwaZulu-Natal. The seat was
previously won by the African National Congress in the 2021 Local Government
Elections.
The new MK Councillor is:
- Msizi Amon Dlamini, in ward 02 in the Richmond
Municipality, KZN227, KwaZulu-Natal. The party won
the seat with 54.22% of the total votes cast. Voter turnout was 52.77%.
