In the first municipal ward
by-elections of 2025, the African National Congress (ANC) retained its seat in
the by-elections in Ward 24 in Bushbuckridge Municipality – MP325, in
Mpumalanga, held on 15 January 2025.
The new ward councillor in Ward 24 is Smash Amos Matsane. The party retained the seat it won in the 2021 Municipal Elections with
74.19% of the total votes cast, compared to
62.10% during the 2021 Municipal Elections.
Voter turnout was 49.44%.
