(4) municipal ward by-elections will take place in KwaZulu-Natal, Limpopo and
the North West on Wednesday, 27 September 2023. The by-elections will be contested by 12 candidates from six (6) political parties.

Two municipal ward by-elections will
take place in Mbhashe Municipality, in the Eastern Cape, on Wednesday, 13
September 2023. The by-elections will be contested by 10 candidates – one independent and nine (9) candidates from six (6) political parties.

2023/24. This report covers the period of 1 April 2023 to 30 June
2023. It is the ninth report since the Party Funding Act came into operation.
