During the by-election contested yesterday in the Free State province, the African National Congress (ANC) retained the seat won during the 2016 Municipal Elections.
The new councillor for the ANC is: Pascal Velaphi Mlozana in Ward 2 in Letsemeng Municipality – FS161. The party retained the seat it won in the 2016 Municipal Elections, with an increased margin of 90.81% of the votes cast, compared to 83.78% in the 2016 Municipal Elections. Voter turnout yesterday was 61.04%.
